Wet ‘n' Wild! The many rivers winding through the Western North Carolina region provide numerous opportunities for kayaking, tubing, canoeing, and whitewater rafting. All skill levels accommodated.

Tee Up! Over 40 beautiful golf courses are locatedwithin an hour's drive of Asheville. Play challenging tournaments or relaxing leisure golf amidst the backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery, courtesy of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains.

Cast Off! Some of the nation's best trout fishing is found in western North Carolina. Plumb the area's many streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes – from land, boat, or even fly-fishing! There's a large variety of fish to be caught in 'these here parts!'

Saddle Up! Experience the incredible beauty of the mountains from the unique vantage point of horseback. Guided trips lead riders through Nature's best — the mountains, national forests and meadows.

A Walk in the Woods! Over 80 hiking trails cross the Asheville area, many of them nationally renowned and all of them ripe with abundant beauty and serene landscape. Guided hikes are available for all experience levels and difficulty of climbs – from the most leisurely stroll to a hike up Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River.

Put The Pieces Together! Learn the incredible art of mosaics! Zane, a renowned master artist from Shamhala Mosaics, instructs the group on how to make amazing mosaic pieces from wall hangings to tabletops to mirrors. This can be an ‘instruction only' session with exciting demonstrations or a hands-on experience. We provide supplies and coaching.

Bird Watching! Western North Carolina provides a wide collection of plant species, not to mention fantastic bird watching and abundance of waterfalls. The impressive grandeur of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are the best of what nature has to offer.
